With a topic titled “From Bereavement to Suicide Prevention”, Azhee participated in the Suicide and Suicide Prevention Conference, which was held in Erbil on November 29 and 30 under the auspices of the Minister of Culture of the Kurdistan Regional Government. In this article Azhee talked about how, as a family affected by suicide, we rose from our own setback and founded Azhee organization to systematically improve our efforts in the field of mental health and suicide prevention. Azhee also talked about the importance of all of us learning so much about suicide that we recognize the causes of risk and prevention، and that we should always try to make it difficult for ourselves and those around us to balance the safety factors.
In the end Azhee representative said: recounting this personal experience over and over again always hurt me and that I never intended to portray myself or my family members as heroes، but as an opportunity to tell everyone that if you knew more about suicide you could save many lives.
